Never before have we attempted such an epic feat. 30 batches in a single day – a virtual impossibility . Our month long Birthday Celebration culminated in this marathon of fudge making stretching from Edinburgh in the North all the way down to Canterbury in the South.
The interpretation of the challenge was left to each Fudge Manager – armed with only one rule – to create 30 batches on their marble slab in a single day.
Windsor and Canterbury used their fudge ingenuity to create a time saving method of creating 4 batches at once ! Only those who witnessed this miraculous creation have the elusive knowledge as to how this was achieved.

Our Bath boys were hindered by the disaster of a broken thermometer – Oh No! – but alas, our fudge leader Sian Holt was on her way to lend a hand and make a (rather questionable !) batch of Vintage Vanilla…

Blaring ‘what a feelin’ next up was Team Oxford. Manager Jess attempting to create a mind boggling 10 layer batch, firing them into the fudge making lead:
York enlisted the assistance of fudgemakers of old (and young!) to help them with their 30 batch quest. Here is young Imogen and Jed with their Chocolate Classic batch which ended their fudge making race.
Last up were our Cambridge boys who speedily boiled, creamed and loafed their way to 30 batches of fudge heaven. To celebrate the end of the day , they created the longest loaf of fudge in Fudge Kitchen history – 10ft of the late, great Jim Garrahy’s favourite – Traditional Toffee.
All in all it was a truly fabulous Day of Fudge fun – we would like to thank each and everyone of our fudge – loving fans for taking part.
