The sun is shining, the shorts are on, the nose is burning, the days are long .. so, obviously it’s time for the retail industry to start talking about Christmas.
At Fudge Kitchen we’ve been sitting on our hands in anticipation, however, waiting feverishly to begin the conversation. We have much to be excited about this year; with new festive fudge products virtually tumbling out of our Kentish gastro-lab. Much entirely unique on the market and all so gorgeously packaged that it seems criminal to open them, until you hear what’s inside ..
Hand rolled chocolate-coated fudge pearls, Winter Spice Dipped Fudge Stick duos, Christmas Fab Favourite selections, Drinking Fudge gift sets, Christmas hampers, seasonal Slim Sliders, Festive Fudge miniatures, Boozy Fudge Treats, a whole range of Fudge in my Kitchen make-at-home kits … this has to be the busiest confectionary NPD department not to employ Oompah Loompas.
Add to the variables a menu of seasonal flavours including Continental Gingerbread, Christmas Pudding, Mince Pie, Figgy Pudding, Irish Cream, Winter Spice and Spiced Cookie and you have a mere glimpse of the teetering, glittering piles starting to be stacked in our Aylesham grotto.
But our work doesn’t stop there. At Fudge Kitchen our first priority is with the superiority of our product. Job done, then. Our second is with our customers: in listening to them, in providing the right lines for them (which can mean creating entirely new or exclusive products, flavours and packaging), and in supporting their sales wherever we can.
Last year we ran a nationwide radio campaign, building brand awareness in the run up to the peak sales period and encouraging our 200 plus stockists to capitalise on it. This year, we’re dispatching our roaming Fudge Ambassadors on a tour of samplings, which kicked off in Selfridges, London in August.
If you’re a retailer who has had the sense to stock Fudge Kitchen products, do email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if we can help with supplying products for sampling, in-store promotions, revised point of sale materials or advice on displays.
Why not also get in touch with our PR department through email@example.com with any local stories, pictures of your displays or general Fudge News that we can blast across our Social platforms.
On which subject, join our facebook fudge community or tag @FudgeKitchen on relevant tweets that we can RT to our followers. We’re all in this together! Christmas requires a Dunkirk spirit.
If you’re a retailer who has yet to make this discerning call, however, what are you waiting for … here’s our ‘fudge porn’ wholesale brochure. Or come and meet us at Stand 5L15 of the NEC’s Autumn International Fair (7th – 10th September) or at Stand 151 of the Speciality and Fine Food Fair at Olympia (7th – 9th September).
Baah to Humbugs this Christmas!
